Passwords

New users are sent an email. When they log in for the first time, they are forced to change their password.

A password is valid for six months. Fifteen days before your password expires, you will receive an email reminding you to change your password. A notification message also appears on the GATEWAY site when you log in. If you do not change your password, a second email is sent to you five days before your password expires. To change your password, either; Click the link in the email which takes you to the GATEWAY site, then navigate to the Change Password page; or, click [Click Here] Click Here in the notification on the GATEAWAY site. Follow the steps in Change Password to change your password.

To change your GATEWAY password, follow the steps below:

1.Click ( [the current user name] the current user name) > [Settings] Settings in the top right side of most GATEWAY pages.

If the new password does not meet the criteria, then a red X appears at the end of the New Password field. When the new password does meet the criteria, then a green check mark appears.

If you have forgotten your password and need to be sent a new one, follow the steps below.

Note: Deactivated users cannot be sent a new password.

1.When you first access the GATEWAY, the Login page opens.

2.Click [Forgot Password] Forgot Password? below the Password field. The Forgot Password window opens.

3.Enter your user name.

4.Click [Request Password] Request Password. A new temporary password is sent to the email address registered with your GATEWAY account.

5.Go to your GATEWAY account.

6.Either manually enter the temporary password into the Login window, or click the link that begins with ’https:/’ to automatically enter your user name and temporary password.

Copy the temporary password now so that you can paste it onto the Change Password page later without needing to return to this email.

7.Click [Login] Login. You are redirected to the Change Password page, and are prompted to change your password.

8.Enter the temporary password from the email into the "Current password" field. If you copied it from the email then you can paste it into the Current Password field now.

10.Click [Return to GATEWAY] Return to GATEWAY to return to the GATEWAY dashboard.
