This chart report compares the true cost of operating similar assets per hour for the selected date range. The report shows specific asset’s costs based on usage. Utilization and Cost Per Hour (CPH) are calculated as follows:
Utilization = |
(End Meter - Start Meter) |
(End Date - Start Date) |
CPH = |
____ Total Cost ____ |
(End Meter - Start Meter) |
Example Data:
•End Meter hours = 5,383
•Start Meter hours = 5,273
•End date = 2/18
•Start date = 1/19
•Sum Cost = $500.80
Utilization Example:
(5,383 - 5,273) |
= |

The Total label, which displays above the chart, is the sum of all total costs for the items on that page. For example, if the Facility report is open, then the Total label shows the total costs of the selected facilities.
The Average CPH label that displays above the chart is an average of each chart item’s cost per hour for the report that is open. For example, if the Facility report is open, then the Average CPH label shows the average of each facility’s cost per hour for the selected facilities.
Suggested Uses
•Identify units that may be running at a higher operating cost and identify possible replacements.
•Identify which regions, facilities, and assets are running at a higher operating cost. For example, the report by region might show that 50% of the operating costs are at one facility. Selecting that facility may indicate that three trucks have the highest operating cost. Selecting each of these trucks might show that parts are being replaced far more often than necessary.
